Sees net banking income up 5%/yr (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Paris, 26 Jun - The French banking group BPCE, which owns the networks Banque Populaire and Caisse d'Epargne, plans to have a net profit of 5 billion euros in 2026 compared with 2.8 billion in 2023, when it fell 25% as higher interest rates eroded its operating margins.

BPCE also expects its net banking income to grow by 5% a year through to 2026, while maintaining a level of solvency "well above regulatory requirements", said the chairman Nicolas Namias.

The group aims to have 800,000 new individual customers by 2026 and 2 million by 2030.
