Bouygues H1 sales 26.516 bln eur, up 1%

Confirms FY outlook (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Paris, 26 Jul - French conglomerate Bouygues said it first-half sales were 26.5 billion euros, up a reported 1% and a like-for-like 2%, driven mainly by Equans and Bouygues Construction.

Current operating profit from activities was 747 million euros from 727 million a year ago driven mainly by Equans, where current operating profit from activities rose 57 million. It fell by 36 million euros at Bouygues Immobilier, resulting in a current operating loss from activities of 36 million, due to a sharp decline in its business activity. The adaptation measures being put in place will begin to produce results in late 2024.

Net profit attributable to the group was 186 million euros, down from 225 million.

The group confirmed its full year outlook, still expecting an improvement at Equans in line with its strategic Perform plan. Bouygues Immobilier will continue to face a challenging market environment, with low visibility on the timetable for recovery.

In an uncertain economic and geopolitical environment, and after a year of strong growth, Bouygues is targeting sales and current operating profit from activities for 2024 that are slightly up on 2023.
