Q2 net income 3.395 bln eur, up 1.6% (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Paris, 24 Jul - French lender BNP Paribas said its second quarter revenue rose 3.9% to 12.270 billion euros with a 12.1% rise at its Corporate and Investment Banking unit and a 17.6% increase in Global Markets while they were stable at Commercial, Personal Banking & Services (CPBS).

The lender said that fees in Commercial & Personal Banking rose 7.4% and headwinds will fade in the second half of the year.

Net income rose 1.6% to 3.395 billion euros driven by the solid operating performance. Gross operating income rose 3.4% to 5.094 billion euros.

BNP Paribas confirmed its 2024 trajectory with revenue growth greater than 2% compared to the 46.9 billion euros 2023 revenues.
