Berkeley FY EPS 373.9 pence, down 12.4%

Hikes FY25 guidance (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - London, 19 Jun - The UK home builder Berkeley Group Holdings said that in the full year ended April 30 its profit before tax fell 7.7% to 557.3 million pounds as the operating margin slipped to 19.5% from 20.3%.

Basic earnings per share dropped 12.4% to 373.9 pence.

Pretax return was 16.2% against 18.7% a year earlier.

Net cash rose to 532 million pounds on April 30 from 410 million pounds a year earlier.

Berkeley said that its pretax earnings guidance for fiscal 2025 was increased by 5% to 525 million pounds, while the guidance for fiscal 2026 is unchanged. Therefore Berkeley is targeting to deliver at least 975 million pounds of pretax profit in the next two years combined.

The company will pay an interim dividend of 33 pence share, for a total outlay of 34.9 million pounds, on July 26 and plans to pay in September a special dividend of 174 pence per share, for a total outlay of 184.0 million pounds.
