Q2 adj EPS 0.57 usd vs 0.63 (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - New York, 24 Jul - The US telecommunications group AT&T said that in the second quarter revenue fell 0.4% to 29.8 billion dollars from 29.9 billion in the year-ago quarter.
Adjusted EBITDA rose to 11.3 billion dollars from 11.1 billion.
Operating expenses were 24.0 billion dollars versus 23.5 billion a year earlier.
Operating income dropped to 5.8 billion dollars from 6.4 billion. Adjusting operating income was 6.3 billion dollars against 6.4 billion.
Net income attributable to common stock was 3.5 billion dollars against 4.4 billion. Earnings per diluted common share was 0.49 dollars versus 0.61 dollars. Adjusted earnings per diluted common share was 0.57 dollars compared to 0.63 dollars in the year-ago quarter.
Cash from operating activities was 9.1 billion dollars, down 0.8 billion year over year, due to timing of working capital, including lower receivable sales partly offset by lower device payments.
Capital expenditures were 4.4 billion dollars in the quarter versus 4.3 billion in the year-ago quarter.
Free cash flow was 4.6 billion dollars for the quarter against 4.2 billion.
Total debt was 130.6 billion dollars at the end of the second quarter, and net debt was 126.9 billion. In the quarter, the company repaid 2.2 billion dollars of long-term debt.
