Atos shares fall sharply on lower guidance

Shares down over 3% (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Paris, 02 Sep - Shares in Atos were lower after the French information technology cut its guidance for the 2024-2027 period.

At 0944 GMT, Atos was down 3.03% to 0.7948 euros.

For 2024, the group now expects revenue of 9.7 billion euros, compared with 9.8 billion previously, down an organic 4.0% compared with 2023.

The operating margin is now forecast at 0.2 billion euros, or 2.4% of revenue, compared with 0.3 billion, or 2.9% of revenue, communicated previously.

Change in cash before debt repayment of negative 0.8 billion euros compared with negative 0.6 billion estimated previously.

Atos now anticipates revenue of 10.6 billion euros in 2027 compares with 11.0 billion previously, which represents a compound annual growth rate of 1.2% over the 2023-2027 period, compared with circa 2.3% communicated on April 29, 2024.

The operating margin is forecast at 1.0 billion euros, or 9.4% of revenue, compared with 1.1 billion, or 9.9% of revenue, communicated previously.

Change in cash before debt repayment of 0.4 billion euros compares with 0.3 billion estimated previously.

On a like for like comparison basis, cumulated change in cash before debt repayment over the 2024-2027 period amounts to negative 528 million euros compared with the negative 194 million forecast previously.
