Tokyo Nikkei 225 up 0.22%, Sydney S&P ASX 200 flat (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Tokyo , 28 Aug - Asian shares closed little changed ahead of the release of results from AI giant Nvidia later in the day.

On the data front, figures from the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) showed that consumer prices in Australia rose 3.5% in the 12 months to July, down from 3.8% in June.

In Tokyo, the Nikkei 225 closed up 0.22% at 38,371.76 points while in Seoul the KOSPI Composite slipped 0.12% to 2,686.12 points. In Sydney, the S&P ASX 200 closed flat at 8,071.4 points.

In late trade, the Shanghai Composite index was down 0.46% at 2,835.71 points while the Hong Kong Hang Seng index was 0.92% lower at 17,711.00 points. In Mumbai, the Sensex index was 0.28% higher at 81,942.31 points.
