Q1 revenue 2.754 bln usd, up 2% (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - London, 03 Sep - The UK industrial equipment rental company Ashtead Group said that in the first quarter ended July 31 earnings per share fell 10% to 92.4 US cents and adjusted EPS dropped 9% to 97.4 cents.

Revenue grew 2% to 2.754 billion dollars and rental revenue advanced 7% to 2.541 billion dollars.

EBITDA rose 5% to 1.288 billion dollars but the operating profit fell 2% to 688 million.

"We have started the year well and expect full-year results will be in line with our expectations. The board looks to the future with confidence," said the chief executive, Brendan Horgan.
