Shares up 1% in early trade (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - New York, 15 Jul - Shares in Alphabet were higher in early trade after a report its subsidiary Google is in advanced talks to buy cybersecurity firm Wiz for around 23 billion dollars.

A deal could come together soon, assuming the talks do not fall apart, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing people familiar with the matter.

The acquisition could help boost Alphabet's efforts in cloud computing, an important and growing business but one where it has lagged behind peers, the paper said.

At 1355 GMT Alphabet shares were up almost 1%.
