H1 EPS 2.92 eur, down 2.3% (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Paris, 26 Jul - Air Liquide, the French provider of industrial gases, said that in the first half revenue fell 4.3% to 13.379 billion euros due to unfavourable energy and currency fluctuations. Comparable revenue rose 2.6%.

The operating income recurring (OIR) reached 2.601 billion euros, up 4.9% on a reported basis and 10.6% on a comparable basis.

Net profit totalled 1.681 billion euros, down a reported 2.4% but up a recurring 3.3%. Excluding the currency impact, recurring net profit recurring was up by +16.0%. Net earnings per share amounted to 2.92 euros per share,down a reported 2.3% and up a recurring 3.2%.

Cash flows from operating activities before changes in working capital amounted to 3.155 billion euros, down 1.7%.

Net debt at June 30, reached 10.156 billion euros, a decrease of 394 million euros compared with June 30, 2023.

"In 2024, Air Liquide is confident in its ability to further increase its operating margin and to deliver recurring net profit growth, at constant exchange rates," the company said.
