Adobe shares surge after Q2 beats expectations

Shares up 14% in premarket trade (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - New York, 14 Jun - Shares in Adobe jumped in premarket trading after the design software maker beat expectations on second quarter results and raised its full-year guidance.

In its fiscal 2024 second quarter, ended May 31, revenue grew 10% from the same period last year to a record 5.31 billion dollars. That was above market expectations of 5.29 billion dollars.

Diluted earnings per share were 3.49 dollars, from 2.82 the previous year, Adobe said. Adjusted EPS was 4.48 dollars, above consensus expectations of 4.39.

The company lifted guidance for the full year, targeting adjusted earnings per share between 18.00-18.20 dollars and revenue of 21.40-21.50 billion.

At 1204 GMT Adobe shares were up 14% premarket.
