Adnoc awards stakes in LNG project to leading energy firms

10% stakes to BP, Shell, Total, Mitsui (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - New York, 10 Jul - Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) said it had awarded stakes in its Ruwais liquefied natural gas export project to Shell, BP, Total Energies and Mitsui.

"BP, Mitsui & Co., Shell and TotalEnergies are to be awarded a 10% equity stake each in the Ruwais LNG project with ADNOC retaining a 60% majority stake," ADNOC said in a statement.

Separately, ADNOC signed several new long-term LNG sales commitments with international partners, the energy giant said.

These include the delivery of 1 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) with Shell and 0.6mtpa with Mitsui & Co., taking the committed Ruwais LNG production capacity to 70%.
