Q2 revenue 8.239 bln usd, up 1% (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Zurich, 18 Jul - The Swiss engineering group ABB said that in the second quarter its basic earnings per share rose 22% to 0.59 dollars as revenue rose 1% to 8.239 billion dollars.

Comparable revenue 4%.

Operational EBITA rose 10% to 1.564 billion dollars, resulting in a margin of 19.0%.

Cash flow from operating activities rose 40% to 1.067 billion dollars.

In the second quarter, orders totalled 8.435 billion dollars, down 3% on a reported basis and were flat on a comparable basis.

In the third quarter of 2024, ABB anticipates a sequentially higher growth rate in comparable revenue and the 0perational EBITA margin be around 18.5% In the full year, it expects a positive book-to-bill, comparable revenue growth to be about 5% and the operational EBITA margin to be about 18%.
