3M Q2 EPS from continuing operations 1.93 usd, up 39%

Q2 sales 6.3 bln usd, down 0.5% (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - New York, 26 Jul - The US chemical and consumer goods group 3M said that in the second quarter earnings per share from continuing operations rose 117% to 2.17 dollars, while adjusted EPS from continuing operations grew 39% to 1.93 dollars.

Sales dropped 0.5% to 6.3 billion dollars. Adjusted sales totalled 6.0 billion dollars and posted an organic growth of 1.2%.

Operating cash flow totalled 1.0 billion dollars and adjusted free cash flow 1.2 billion.

The company improved its full-year guidance for adjusted EPS from continuing operations to 7.00-7.30 dollars from 6.80-7.30 dollars.

It still expects adjusted total sales growth to be between negative 0.25% and positive 1.75% and adjusted organic sales growth to be 0-2%.
