Aug shipment index -15 vs -21 in July (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Washington, 27 Aug - The Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond said that its manufacturing index fell to negative 19 in August from negative 17 in July.

Expectations were for a rise to negative 14.

The shipments index rose to negative 15 in August from negative 21, while the new orders index dropped to negative 26 from negative 23 in July.
