Q2 unit labor costs revised to up 0.4% qtr/qtr (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Washington, 05 Sep - Unit labor costs in the nonfarm business sector was revised down 0.5% to show an annual rate of 0.4% in the second quarter.

Expectations were for a 0.8% rise.

This is the combined effect of a 3.0% increase in hourly compensation and a 2.5% rise in productivity, it said.

Unit labor costs increased 0.3% over the last four quarters, the lowest rate since the fourth quarter of 2013, when the measure decreased 2.2%.
