Q2 core PCE price index revised down to 2.8% qtr/qtr (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Washington, 29 Aug - The personal consumption expenditures (PCE) price index increased 2.5% in the second quarter of 2024, down 0.1% from a previous estimate. Excluding food and energy prices, the PCE price index rose 2.8%, also revised down 0.1%.

Expectations were for PCE prices and core PCE prices to rise 2.6% and 2.9%, respectively.
