Q1 unit labor costs revised to up 4.0% qtr/qtr (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Washington, 06 Jun - Unit labor costs in the nonfarm business sector was revised to up 4.0% to show an annual rate of 0.9% in the first quarter.

Expectations were for a 4.7% rise in line with the preliminary reading.

This is the combined effect of a 4.2% increase in hourly compensation and a 0.2% rise in productivity, it said.

Unit labor costs increased 0.9% over the last four quarters.
