US May factory orders down 0.5% mth/mth

Below expectations (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Washington, 03 Jul - US factory orders fell 0.5% month on month to 583.1 billion dollars in May, the US Census bureau said.

Expectations were for a 0.2% rise.

Inventories rose 0.2% to 860.1 billion dollars.

Shipments fell 0.7% at 584.8 billion dollars.

The inventories-to-shipments ratio was 1.47, up from 1.46 in April.
