June unemployment rate 4.1% vs 4.0% in May (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Washington, 05 Jul - US nonfarm payroll employment increased by 206,000 month on month in June, while the unemployment rate ticked up to 4.1%, the US Bureau of Labor Statistics reported.

Economists were expecting employment to increase by 194,000 units and the unemployment rate to remain unchanged at 4.0%.

The labor force participation rate changed little at 62.6%, while the employment-population ratio held at 60.1%.
