Below expectations (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Washington, 01 Jul - The US purchasing managers' index rose to 51.6 in June from 51.3 in May, according to final data by the financial information services group IHS Markit. The reading was slightly below the flash June estimate of 51.7.

Economists expected a reading of 51.7.

A reading above 50 indicates an expansion in activities and a reading below 50 a contraction.
