Above expectations (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Washington, 04 Sep - US factory orders rose 5.0% month on month to 592.1 billion dollars in July, the US Census bureau said.

Expectations were for a 4.7% rise.

Inventories rose 0.1% to 859.4 billion dollars.

Shipments were up 0.9% at 593.8 billion dollars.

The inventories-to-shipments ratio was 1.45, down from 1.46 in June.
