Down 2.5% yr/yr (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Washington, 22 Aug - Sales of existing homes in the US rose 1.3% in July from the previous month to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 3.95 million, the National Association of Realtors said.

Expectations were for sales to rise to 3.94 million.

Compared to July 2023, sales were down 2.5% from 4.05 million.

The median existing-home price for all housing types in July was 422,600 dollars, up 4.2% from July 2023.

Total housing inventory at the end of July amounted to 1.33 million units, up 0.8% from June and 19.8% from one year ago.
