Agreement part of meeting last week - People's Bank of China (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - New York, 19 Aug - The US and China signed agreements last week for cooperating on financial stability, according to a People's Bank of China readout.

The agreement was part of a meeting of the US-China Financial Working Group in Shanghai late last week.

According to a CNBC translation of the Chinese statement, the conversation was 'professional, pragmatic, candid and constructive." Topics discussed included capital markets, cross-border payments and the two countries' monetary policy, the PBOC readout said.
