US April wholesale inventories up 0.1% mth/mth

Sales up 0.1% mth/mth (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Washington, 07 Jun - US wholesale trade inventories rose 0.1% month on month to 895.8 billion dollars in April from the revised March number, according to data by the US Census Bureau.

The March 2024 to April 2024 percent change was revised from the advance estimate of up 0.2% to up 0.1%.

Inventories were down 1.7% from the revised April 2023 level.

Sales were up 0.1% on a monthly basis and up 1.4% on the year.

The April inventories/sales ratio for merchant wholesalers, except manufacturers' sales branches and offices, based on seasonally adjusted data, was 1.35. The April 2023 ratio was 1.39.
