Below expectations (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Washington, 04 Jun - US job openings in April slipped to 8.059 million from 8.355 million the month before, according to data from the US Department of Labor.

Expectations were for 8.370 million openings.

Hires and total separations were little changed at 5.6 million and 5.4 million, respectively. Within separations, quits were little changed at 3.5 million as too were layoffs and discharges at 1.5 million, it said.
