Will enable troop deployment (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Manila, 08 Jul - The Philippines and Japan have signed a defence agreement which will enable to deploy troops in the partnering nation, according to the Philippine presidential office.

The document was signed in Manila at the presidential palace by the Philippine defence minister Gilberto Teodoro and the Japanese foreign minister Yoko Kamikawa.
