Above preliminary indications (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Madrid , 25 Jun - In the first quarter of 2024, Spain's gross domestic product increased by 0.8% compared to the previous quarter and was up 2.5% year on year, according to data from statistics institute Ine.

The figures were better than preliminary indications that had shown GDP growing by 0.7% quarter on quarter and by 2.4% year on year.

In the fourth quarter of 2023, Spanish GDP rose by 0.7% compared to the previous quarter and by 2.1% year on year.
