Energy prices up 2.5% yr/yr vs down 0.1% in April (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Paris , 09 Jul - The annual inflation rate in the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) area rose to 5.9% in May from 5.7% the previous month, the OECD said.

Prices for energy rose by 2.5% year on year in May after falling 0.1% in April. So-called core inflation, net of food and energy prices, inched down to 6.1% in the OECD area in May from 6.2% the previous month.
