Ex fresh food up 0.4% mth/mth, up 2.2% yr/yr (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Tokyo, 26 Jul - In July, consumer prices in the Ku-area of Tokyo rose a monthly 0.3%, accelerating from 0.1% in June, and increased 2.2% year on year, after rising 2.3% the previous month, according to data released by the Statistical Bureau of Japan.

Excluding fresh food, the so-called core CPI rose a monthly 0.4% after 0.2% in June and an annual 2.2% after 2.1% the previous month. Excluding fresh food and energy, the index was up a monthly 0.2% after 0.1% in June and was 1.5% higher year on year after 1.8% the previous month.
