Aug CPI excluding fresh food up 2.4% yr/yr (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Tokyo, 30 Aug - In August, the consumer price index in the Ku-area of Tokyo rose a monthly 0.6% and increased 2.6% year on year, according to data released by the Statistics Bureau of Japan.

Excluding fresh food, CPI rose grew an annual 2.4%, accelerating from 2.2% in July.

Excluding fresh food and energy, CPI rose 0.5% month on month and increased 1.3% year on year.
