July core CPI up 2.7% yr/yr vs 2.6% in June (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Tokyo, 23 Aug - In July, Japan consumer prices rose 0.2% month on month and 2.8% year on year, according to the Statistics Bureau of Japan.

Core inflation, which excludes fresh food, rose 2.7% year on year, in line with market expectations but up from 2.6% in June.

Inflation excluding fresh food and energy was 1.9% year on year against 2.2% in June.
