Q1 employment rate 62.0%, up 0.1 pct pts (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Rome , 13 Jun - In the first quarter of 2024, Italy's unemployment rate fell by 0.2 percentage points compared to the previous quarter to settle at 7.2%, data from statistics institute Istat showed.

The employment rate edged up by 0.1 percentage points to 62.0% while the economically inactive percentage of the population also increased by 0.1 percentage points, to 33.1%.
