Up 13.3 bln eur vs April (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Rome , 15 Jul - In May 2024, Italy's public debt rose to 2.919 trillion euros, up by 13.3 billion compared to the previous month, data from the Bank of Italy showed.

Debt of Italy's central administration rose by 13.6 billion euros while that of local administrations declined by 0.3 billion and debt of social security agencies was unchanged.

The average residual life of Italian public debt stood at 7.8 years in May, steady on the previous month.
