Exports to Turkey up 29.4% yr/yr, imports from Turkey up 9.1% (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Rome , 28 Jun - In May 2024 compared to the year earlier, Italian exports to Turkey (up 29.4%) and Mercosur countries (up 9.6%) increased markedly. Exports to Switzerland (down 11.4%), Japan (down 4.3%), ASEAN countries (down 4.2%) and China (down 3.2%) all declined.

Italian imports from Switzerland (down 22.1%) fell sharply in May 2024 compared to the year earlier, while imports from India (down 6.3%), the UK (down 4.7%), ASEAN countries (down 4.0%) and China (down 1.8%) also fell. On the other hand, imports from Italy's other main non-EU trading partners increased, with the biggest rises seen in imports from Mercosur countries (up 11.1%) and Turkey (up 9.1%).
