The annual inflation rate in April also stood at 0.8%.

Harmonised for European Union purposes, consumer prices in Italy also increased by 0.2% month on month and by 0.8% year on year, matching preliminary indications.

In April, EU harmonised CPI rose by 0.9% year on year.
