Youth jobless rate falls to 20.8% (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Rome, 30 Aug - Italy's unemployment rate stood at 6.5% in July, down by 0.4 percentage points compared to the month earlier, data from statistics institute Istat showed.

The jobless rate for youth, or those between the ages of 15 and 24, fell by 0.6 percentage points to 20.8%.

Italy's employment rate rose by 0.1 percentage points compared to June to reach 62.3%.
