Vegetable oil prices fall 2.4% mth/mth (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Rome , 07 Jun - The FAO sugar price index instead decreased by 7.5% in May compared to April, driven by pressure from a good start to Brazil's new harvest season.

The vegetable oil price index declined by 2.4% month on month, as lower palm oil quotations due to seasonal output increases and ongoing weak global demand more than offset higher prices of soy oil.

The meat price index decreased marginally,by 0.2% month on month, as global poultry and bovine meat prices fell and those of pig and ovine meats increased.
