H1 imports 662.8 bln eur, down 6.2% (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Berlin, 19 Aug - German exports decreased by 1.6% to 801.7 billion euros year on year in the first half of 2024, according to the statistics office Destatis.

Goods to the total value of 662.8 billion euros were imported to Germany in the first six months, a decrease of 6.2% year on year.

Germany's foreign trade balance amounted to 138.8 billion euros in the first half of 2024, 28.7% higher from 107.9 billion euros a year earlier.
