French govt has to save 25 bln eur in 2024 - economy minister

5 bln eur more spending cuts than previously forecast (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Paris, 11 Jul - The French government must cut expenses by 25 billion euros in 2024 to rebalance the public accounts, according to the economy minister Bruno Le Maire.

The figure is 5 billion euros higher than previously forecast.

Speaking to journalists, Le Maire said that he will sign today a letter to all ministries that will reduce spending by 5 billion euros compared with the initial amount indicated in the budget.
