Down from 31.1 bln eur in 2022 (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Paris, 16 Jul - France's current account deficit stood at 28.1 billion euros in 2023, an improvement from the 31.1 billion deficit a year earlier, according to the Bank of France.

France is the only of the four major eurozone economies to post a deficit in 2023. The other three leading eurozone economies are Germany, Italy and Spain. Overall, the eurozone has a current account surplus.
