EU Q1 govt deficit 3.0%/GDP vs 3.9% (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Brussels , 22 Jul - In the first quarter of 2024, the seasonally adjusted general government deficit stood at 3.2% of GDP, down from 4.0% of GDP in the fourth quarter of 2023, according to data from European Union statistical office Eurostat.

For the EU as a whole, the general government deficit fell to 3.0% of GDP in the first quarter of 2024 from 3.9% in the previous quarter.
