Eurozone Q1 employment up 0.3% qtr/qtr, up 1.0% yr/yr (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Brussels , 07 Jun - Eurostat also said that the number of employed people in both the eurozone and the EU increased by 0.3% in the first quarter of 2024 compared with the previous quarter after rising by 0.3% in the euro area and by 0.2% in the EU in the fourth quarter of 2023.

Compared with the year earlier, eurozone employment increased by 1.0% and EU employment by 0.9% in the first quarter of 2024 after rising by 1.2% and 1.0%, respectively, in the fourth quarter of 2023.
