Eurozone July economic expectations 1.5 vs 10.0 in June (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Berlin , 08 Jul - Investor confidence in the eurozone worsened to -7.3 in July from 0.3 the earlier month, dropping sharply after improving for eight consecutive months, according to the German think tank Sentix.

Economic expectations for the eurozone fell to 1.5 from 10.0 while the assessment of the current situation worsened to -15.8 from -9.0.

"The moderate economic momentum in Germany is also faltering again," Sentix noted. "The positive mood due to the European Football Championship 2024 is not spilling over into the economy. The already gloomy assessment of the situation deteriorated to -32.3 points, while expectations fell to -4.8 points below the April value. The French elections are contributing to the growing concern, as is the increasing slowdown in the US economy.".
