8th consecutive monthly improvement (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - London, 01 Jul - In June, China's purchasing managers' index for the manufacturing sector rose to 51.8 from 51.7 in May, according to data released by S&P Global along with local media partner Caixin.

A reading above 50 signals expanding sector activity while one below indicates a contraction.

The reading indicated an eighth successive monthly improvement in the health of the sector. Furthermore, the rate of growth was the fastest since May 2021.
