Recovers from July's deterioration (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - London, 02 Sep - In August, China's purchasing managers' index for the manufacturing sector rose to 50.4 from 49.8 in July, according to data released by S&P Global and Caixin.

A reading below 50 signals contracting sector activity.

"Rising past the 50.0 neutral mark, the latest data signalled that conditions in the manufacturing sector improved following the brief deterioration in July. The rate of improvement was only marginal, however," according to a statement.
