Wholesale inventories up 0.9% mth/mth (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Ottawa, 15 Jul - Canadian wholesale inventories increased 0.9% month on month to 127.8 billion dollars in May.

Inventories increased in four of the seven subsectors in May, led by the machinery, equipment, and supplies subsector, up 1.3% to 39.3 billion dollars.

The inventory-to-sales ratio increased from 1.53 in April to 1.55 in May. This ratio is a measure of the time (in months) required to exhaust inventories if sales were to remain at their current levels.
