Total 71.4 bln Canadian dlr (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Ottawa, 15 Jul - Following a 1.4% month on month increase in April, Canadian manufacturing sales rose 0.4% to 71.4 billion local dollrs in May, according to Statistics Canada.

Despite the monthly increase, total sales on a year-over-year basis were down 1.8% in May.

Sales in constant dollars also rose 0.4% month on month in May.
