Total 12.8 bln Canadian dlr (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Ottawa, 11 Jun - In April, the total value of building permits in Canada increased 20.5% month on month to 12.8 billion local dollars, according to Statistics Canada.

Construction intentions in the residential sector increased 21.0% to 8.0 billion dollars and the non-residential sector rose 19.6% to 4.8 billion.

On a constant dollar basis, the total monthly value of building permits grew 20.7% in April, to the highest level since June 2023.
