Prices still too high (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Washington, 12 Jun - The US consumer price index for May was welcome news but more still needs to be done, President Joe Biden said.

"Today's report shows welcome progress on lowering inflation, which was zero on a monthly basis in May and is down nearly two-thirds from its peak," Biden said in a statement.

But he added "prices are still too high.".
